Architectural Visualization and 3D Rendering

Renderings, walkthroughs, construction-phase imagery, dusk shots and short video, built from real geometry in Revit and finished with a real-time engine and AI-assisted rendering and animation tools. Every image starts from a model that could be built, because I am the one who would have to draw the set. Work arrives from anywhere: send a model or a plan set and get images back.

The tools, named

There is a lot of vagueness in this industry about how images get made. Here is the actual stack.

Geometry. Revit. This is where the building exists. Dimensions, wall assemblies, window sizes, roof pitches, floor-to-floor heights, how the mass sits on the site. Nothing downstream is allowed to change any of it.

Base render. Enscape, running live off the model. This is the geometry-true pass: correct sun angle for the date and latitude, correct camera height and lens, correct material assignments, correct shadows. If the image has to hold up in front of a plan reviewer, a lender or a planning commission, this pass is the evidence.

Image and video generation. AI-assisted rendering and animation tools, used on top of that base pass for atmosphere, treatment, context and motion. The specific products change often enough that naming them here would date the page inside a year; what does not change is the rule below.

The rule that holds all of it together. AI is a tool in the workflow. It is architect-directed. Geometry comes from the model. Generation handles sky, weather, planting, surface grain, weathering, entourage and motion. It does not invent a building, a massing, a window pattern, a roofline or a site condition. If it was not in the model, it is not in the image. That is not a marketing position, it is what makes the images usable in front of a city, and it is why I can put my name on them.

Marketing and design-process imagery for the studio itself runs through the same tools. I use them daily, which is why I can tell you which one to reach for and where each one falls apart.

How it works

One. Geometry first

I model in Revit. If you have a model, I work from yours. If you have a set of plans, I build one. Nothing gets rendered from a sketch and a hope, because a picture that does not match a buildable model is a picture that creates an argument later.

Two. Light, material and camera

Enscape for the base pass, then camera work: eye height, lens, what the viewer is standing on. Dusk imagery is the most requested and the most abused; it flatters everything, which is exactly why an entitlement image should usually be shot at midday instead.

Three. Treatment and motion

The generation tools come in here, on top of a correct render, directed shot by shot. Sky and weather to match the story. Planting that belongs to the region and the season. Surface grain, weathering and wear so a new building does not read like a plastic model. Motion where the deliverable is video. Every pass is checked back against the model, and anything that drifts off the geometry gets thrown out and redone.

Four. Delivery

Full-resolution stills, web-sized versions, and video in the aspect ratios you need, including vertical for social. Revisions are expected and budgeted; the first pass is a conversation, not a final.

Where I work

Visualization is remote work by nature and the project can be anywhere. Models, plan sets and reference photos come in over file transfer, reviews happen over video with the image on screen, and deliverables go back digitally at whatever resolution and aspect ratio you need. If a project is in the Arkansas River Valley, Northwest Arkansas or Oklahoma and the image calls for it, I will go photograph the site or the context myself.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use AI to make the renderings?

Yes, as one tool among several, and the boundary is worth stating plainly. The building, the site and the massing are real geometry that I modeled and could draw a set from. Enscape produces the geometry-true base pass. AI generators handle atmosphere, treatment, entourage and motion on top of that pass, directed shot by shot by an architect. They are never used to generate a building or to invent site conditions. That is what makes the images safe to put in front of a city, a board or a lender.

Which tools specifically?

Revit for geometry, Enscape for the base render, and AI-assisted rendering and animation tools for treatment and motion. I do not pin the generators to this page by name, because that list moves as fast as this part of the industry moves. What does not move is the rule that the geometry comes from the model.

Can you render a project you are not designing?

Yes. Architects, builders and developers send me their own drawings or models regularly and get images back. If the model is clean I work from it directly; if it is a PDF set, I build the geometry and bill the modeling separately so you can see what you are paying for.

What do you need from me to start, and does the project's location matter?

Location does not matter at all for this service. What I need is the geometry or the drawings, the material and finish direction, the camera views you want, and what the image is for, because an entitlement exhibit, a listing photo and an investor deck are three different pictures of the same building. If you have site photos or a context aerial, send those; if you do not, I will source what I can from public imagery and tell you where the context is approximate.
