We Love to Get to Know You

Starting a custom home or office project in Fort Smith is exciting. It can also feel overwhelming when you're not sure where to begin. That's exactly why we make the first conversation the most important one.

Before we open a single software program or sketch a single line, we want to sit down with you — really get to know what you're trying to build, why you want to build it, and what you're working with. That first meeting shapes everything that comes after.

It starts with you, not us.

We ask a lot of questions early on because the best designs come from actually understanding the people who will live or work in the space. What does your day-to-day look like? What spaces have you walked into — a restaurant in downtown Fort Smith, a friend's house, a hotel in a city you visited — that made you feel something? We look at reference images together, talk through your wish list, and build a clear picture before a single decision gets made.

This isn't a step we rush. Fort Smith and the surrounding River Valley communities are full of people with real stories and specific needs, and your space should reflect that — not look like it came from a catalog.

Then we talk budget — honestly.

A lot of designers avoid this conversation early on, and it causes headaches later. We bring it up right away. We'll walk through what construction realistically costs in the Sebastian County area right now, what our design fees look like, whether engineering coordination will be needed, and what site preparation might run. We'd rather be upfront than design something beautiful that ends up being out of reach.

Clear communication from day one.

Once the project gets rolling, we operate with what we call a glass box approach — no information gets siloed. You, your general contractor, any subcontractors, and our team all stay in sync when things shift. And things always shift. What makes the difference between a smooth build and a stressful one isn't whether surprises come up — it's whether the whole team is equipped to handle them together.

A proposal that fits your project.

We offer straightforward pricing packages for standard scopes, and we can put together a custom proposal for anything more specialized. Either way, our fees reflect what the work actually takes. We're not trying to squeeze a project — we're trying to earn a client who recommends us to their neighbor.

If you're planning to build or renovate in Fort Smith, Van Buren, Greenwood, or anywhere in the River Valley, the first conversation costs you nothing. Let's figure out if we're the right fit.
