Frame the water instead of exposing everything

Selected views are held inside deep black openings. That lets the lake remain present while bedrooms, utility spaces, and sheltered rooms retain privacy and calm.

Let arrival do real work

The mudroom is part of the lake sequence rather than a back-of-house afterthought. Stone, dark timber, fire, books, planting, and upholstered furniture keep the interior tactile and lived-in.
